MSP57 - Bio and History

Here are some facts about MSP57, and his history that led him to composing music, and on to the net.

* Born and grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. Not much of a good childhood in his earlier years. At age 8 life began to shape up much better when he lived with his Father and former Stepmother (Sue) for about a year. At age 9 he was taken in and raised by his Grandmother who introduced him to the world of the piano.

* He voluntarily served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era.

* He plays the piano and other musical instruments by ear, and only reads music with a lot of help from howto books. He was first taught mostly religeous songs by his Grandmother, and later on Honky Tonk type music from his Father.

* In his teen days, the 60s, he was a rock drummer in a few bands. But later returned back to the keyboards. His inspirations for keyboard were Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman, Floyd Cramer, Billy Preston, and Liberace.

* His Grandmother bought him his first drum set out of a Spiegel catalog, and probably regretted it every day thereafter. (I miss you Grandma, each and every day I breathe)

* He started composing on his own with a homemade analog studio in 1981 consisting of cassette decks, reel to reel, mixers, and a whole lot of cables. The analog studio recording style to this day is still one of his favorite ways to record, and to this day he still has his old reel to reel deck. It still works too. His other choice is ModPlug Tracker for doing pc sampling style tracks. His keyboards used for recording are Casio, and Yamaha by choice.

* In 1998 he created the web site On Nation, which in time begat other sites such as Composer World where you are now. He also works with 3D art programs in his Fireosity project, such as Poser, Daz Studio, and CyberMotion 3D Designer until they make him annoyed. Which by the way, is pretty often.

* These days his inspiration for composing music is Asia styles, Classic Rock, Classical, and Country. He also has a tad bit of weakness for the lovely Asia ladies :)
