Introducing Andrés Music Review By Michael Paynter / Composer World Webmaster
Update: June 18, 2005 - Andrés is still missing in action. You can be certain though he has not abandoned his craft, and I am sure in time he will be bringing new sounds to Composer World.
June 8, 2004 - Now enters a composer that I have known for awhile now. If you have ever visited our old Multimedia World, and heard the R&B styled song "Streets Of Bangkok" then meet the man who composed it. His name is Andrés, and he hails from the eastern European country of Estonia. Andrés brings to you a style we have never forgot, and it is a style that has been renamed many times over the years. Even though it is no mystery to where this style all began, Andrés can take you back in time to that era or move you forward to a whole new dimension of it's persona. However I can not just put Andrés in the so called "disco" style category. Andres is also a formattable composer in the Jazz arena as well. With his composition simply titled "Jazz" he shows that he can be flexible to other music tastes at any given time. Without a hint he can also switch to something a bit more haunting as he does with his composition "Lost In L.A." With this one you could almost picture yourself driving along the Sunset Strip on a rainy night. To me this says that Andrés has a very good insight of the world, and that music can live on through his sense of perspective. Well done Andrés, and welcome to our family of composers.
I also feel I should mention the lady vocalist you heard on the page intro song "Elumees" (you can get the complete song in the download center). She goes by the name Soapgirl. but I am sure that is not her real name. I like the song (even though I have no clue of what she is saying) but still, I think she really enhances Andrés's compositions, and when you download his music you will hear her on some of his other soundtracks. Perhaps someday in the future, I may be featuring her also :-)
